Fiction 20 Down - “Welcome to the Grassroots”
Thursday July 17th, 2008
Fiction 20 Down is prepared to release their second full length studio album titled “Welcome to the Grassroots” on July 27th in Bel Air, Maryland. Their new album contains all of the elements of their debut album, “Down n' Out + Up n' Rising” that made them catch Sublime Stylee’s ear initially. Fiction 20 Down’s ability to blend smooth rhythms with rolling bass lines and mellow lyrics in “Welcome to the Grassroots” creates a great summer album that will have you tapping your feet and bobbing your head.
While talking with Jordan Lally, frontman of Fiction 20 Down, he described the sounds of their new album as being “driven more by the rhythm section. As a result, it allowed us to be more aggressive and definitely find our 'groove' a bit more.” This was possible through the recent additions of Matt Batarseh on bass and Ben Potok on drums. The band is rounded out with lead guitarist Todd Hipsley. Fiction 20 Down has plans to create a music video for their hit song “Gossip & Gunplay.” Other songs to be sure to check out on “Welcome to the Grassroots” are “Stoke the Fire” and “Wake Up” which are available for download on Sublime Stylee along with some of Fiction 20 Down’s other tracks.
Be sure to pick up your personal copy of Fiction 20 Down’s “Welcome to the Grassroots.” A portion of all CD sales goes to Harford Habitat for Humanity. Fiction 20 Down is planning a range of shows on the mid-Atlantic seaboard.
